We know that you will be extremely happy with your new puppy. The office staff of Smeraglia Kennel consists of Sherri and Beverly. We are both active members in our Church as well as mothers' of large families. Sherri is the mother of 5 children and Beverly has 8 children. As you can see, we are very busy ladies. Because of our busy lives, we are sometimes not easily reached when questions or concerns arise. Please know upon signing this contract, that we may sometimes be difficult to contact, but that we will make every effort to get back to you in a timely fashion. Sometimes technological issues can keep us from receiving your email or phone call so please, if you have not heard from us within a couple of days, please contact us again. If you have difficulty reaching us, please assume that we are busy raising healthy, happy pups and know that we will make every effort to get back to you as soon as we get a moment to return your call or email. Feed the dog food recommended by your vet. Contact Sherri G. Smeraglia first regarding any issues related to health Exercise your dog, Raise the dog in love and proper discipline so that he/she grows to be a good dog citizen Place the kennel prefix "Smeraglia's" at the beginning of the registered name if this applies to a registered Dog (Schnoodles Are Not a registered Breed at the present time, but we are working with CKC to get them registered) Maintain proper weight The owner agrees to keep, house, and properly care for this dog for the entire length of his/her life The owner (adults, parents) understands and agrees that all responsibility of the dog's care: feeding, grooming, cleaning up after (poop scooping), exercise, and training are solely their own responsibility, not that of other family members in the household, especially children. As an adult you understand that it is necessary to teach your children responsibility, but you do that on something that is not living. It is understood by you that this puppy is like a newborn baby , completely dependent on you for all their needs, and cannot rely on the memory of any adolescents. For as the breeder believes too many or untimely vaccinations and/or improper nutritional support will result in numerous health related problems and disabilities, any deviations from the above stipulations will be considered a breech of contract. It is understood that this pet will not be used for breeding purposes. The puppy will be sold to you on a limited registration to insure this. We do not sell our puppies for breeding purposes. We require that you have your puppy spayed or neutered within the first 10 months of their birth date. Deviations from this stipulation can and may be pursued by Smeraglia Kennel through an attorney as a breech of contract. Breech of contract suits will be handled in the state of Alabama. The Puppy will come with a current health Certificate and and will have the appropriate shots and wormings for his / her age. I guarantee your pet to be free from major disabilities that would keep him from functioning as a pet. I will replace this pet with another if this pet becomes blind from cataracts, has hip dysplasia severe enough that it is unable to function as a pet. This guarantee does not include changes due to normal aging. Aging defined as over eight years of age. Mini TeddyBear Schnoodles (12-16lbs) are $800 and require a $100 deposit to be placed on our waiting list Standard TeddyBear Schnoodles (20-45 lbs) are $1500 and require a $200 deposit to be placed on our waiting list The price for Giant TeddyBear Schnoodles (50-75lbs) are $2000 and require a $200 deposit to be placed on our waiting list. We do accept credit cards but a 4% service charge will be added. The balance is due once your puppy is four weeks old. If your puppy will need to be shipped, the balance for that is also due at 4 weeks of age. Shipping is $300. to most US destinations. We ship via Delta Pets First. Checks to be made out to Smeraglia Kennel The deposits are entered in my book in the order they arrive. The puppies go home between 7 and 12 weeks of age depending on when I am satisfied with my evaluation of them. You will be contacted when I have a puppy for you. If you are not ready at that time, you are not obligated to take the puppy. Only in the event that no puppies are available after the 12 month waiting period will your deposit be refunded. We will attempt to match you with a puppy 2 times, after that time, your file will be placed in the inactive category and we will wait to hear from you when you are ready to get your new puppy. Puppy Contract 1.) The buyer has 48 hours in which to take the puppy to his veterinarian and will receive a full refund if he does not find this puppy as represented. If this puppy is found to be of unsound health after examination by the veterinarian of the buyer’s choice, he may be returned to the breeder for a full refund of the purchase price. If the puppy is purchased over the weekend then the buyer has until the first Monday after the sale date to take the pup to the vet. Any claim must be made within 48 hours of the date of sale, and substantiated by a written report signed by the examining vet. Any other refund will be discussed with the seller. 2.) When the pup is registered with AKC, the prefix Smeraglia’s must be used. 3.) All pups are guaranteed to function as pets. If it cannot fulfill that function due to hereditary causes (crippling hip dysplasia, etc.) then a replacement puppy will be provided in the next available litter. Upon return of the original puppy this guarantee is void after 24 months. 4.) If the buyer should decide for any reason, at any time during the life of the dog not to keep the above mentioned dog, he is to notify the breeder who will have first option to repurchase the dog at no more than the original purchase price, minus any expenses incurred in placing the dog. It is possible that the buyer may have to take less than the original price depending on the age, training, and the condition of the dog. 5.) This puppy must not be resold to any owner, agent or individual connected with a pet shop or wholesaler of pure-bred dogs. (Anyone who buys puppies in litter lots or trades puppies or articles or services) 6.) This puppy must be kept in trim weight- especially avoiding obesity. 7.) Pets should be neutered- Males / Females at 8-10 months 8.) Pet pups will not be bred, as its offspring will not be able to be registered. 9.)
